The begining of Coke

On May 8th, 1886, a local pharmasist from Atlanta, Georgia named Dr. John Smith Pemberton created a carbonated caramel drink named Coca-Cola. During the first year, Coke was sold as a fountain drink for $0.05 a glass. In the begining, only about nine glassess were sold a day. Coke was originally bottled in a candy store in Mississippi. When Dr.Pemberton died in 1888, he sold his company to Asa G. Candler.
